Cutout Animation
Cutout animation is a technique for producing animation using flat characters, props and backgrounds cut from materials such as paper, card board, stiff fabric or even photos. More complex figures depicted in cutout animation, such as in silhouette animation, often have joints made with a rivet or pin – or when made on a computer, an anchor.
Yuri Norstein
Yuri Norstein is universally considered the most remarkable director to emerge from the current generation of Russian animators.
Many Python sketches were linked together by the cut-out animations of Terry Gilliam, including the opening titles featuring the iconic giant foot.
Gilliam’s unique visual style was characterised by sudden and dramatic movements and errors of scale set in surrealist landscapes populated by engravings of large buildings with elaborate architecture, grotesque Victorian gadgets, machinery, and people cut from old Sears Roebuck catalogues, supported by Gilliam’s airbrush illustrations and many famous pieces of art.

The propaganda means information, especially of a prejudiced or misleading nature, used to advertise a political and wartime cause or point of view.
The word propaganda is often used in a negative sense, especially for politicians who make false claims to get elected or spread rumours to get their way. Many still around today aiding many of the very strong opinions refuge the effects of WW1 propaganda. Propaganda was used during the war to influence the public on the home front and boost moral. At the beginning of the war it was used to encourage the fact that the enemies were evil and also to boost enlistment numbers.
The First and Second World War are fantastic visual, for example, I like how the man on a poster and that very easy to recognise since was released in 1914s. I do find this propaganda were pound and courage to all the people joining an enlistment for war.
The Russia propaganda posters are very interesting and strong red colour looks more truly proud of their country. The posters looks really good and very attractive in a some way like the people are telling us to help the Russian will get power and better living.

Anyone remember that times when the Matrix (1999), that scene was still amazing and incredible visual of the bullet fire at Neo (Keanu Reeves). The scenes here a single moment appeared fixed in time, the camera rotating round a single object (such as Keanu Reeves, leaning back, arms flailing) looked revolutionary. Now I understand this scene have been set up with 360 degree camera to focus on Neo dodge the bullets. Again, it is a still perfect example of movie making technique and I always amazing when I saw that scene. Never get old.
